Liu Yunxia

Liu Yunxia, who started to work in April 1970 and joined the Communist Party of China in May 1979, is an on-the-job graduate student of Sichuan Provincial Party School. He once served as deputy director of the Organization Department of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, secretary and chief of the Party Committee of Sichuan Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau, member of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Committee of Provincial Political Consultative Conference (Sichuan Committee of CPPCC), and deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Overseas of Sichuan Committee of CPPCC. Dr. Zhang Lubiao is the Director General of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre (ATPC) of the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Affairs (MARA) of PR China since November 2017. Mr. Zhang also serves as the Secretary-General of the CCPIT-Ag as well as CCIC-Ag. Mr. Zhang previously served in a number of progressively senior roles spanning more than 25 years at MARA where he most recently held the position of Executive Director of the China Office for Agricultural Going-Global Initiative, where he was responsible for BIT, FDI, Belt & Road Initiative, and foreign aids. Fan Peikang

Zhang Dianming

Business Director and Associate Research Fellow of the Commercial Certification Office of the Commercial Certification Center of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). Dr. Jeremy Burdon

Dr Jeremy Burdon is a postharvest specialist at The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Ltd, with a BSc (1983) and PhD (1987), both in plant physiology, from the University of Stirling, Scotland. With 25 years of kiwifruit experience, Dr Burdon¡¯s fundamental postharvest research supports commercial R&D activity both within New Zealand and globally. Current research interests within the wider postharvest field include fruit maturity, postharvest handling and controlled atmosphere storage, all with a focus on the final ripe fruit quality.

Prof. Pedro Pablo Gallego

Prof. Pedro Pablo Gallego,obtained his BsC & MsC in Biology with honors from Le¨®n University (1986) and his PhD in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1992). In 1991 joined Vigo University been Assistant Professor (1991-1997), Associate Professor (1998-2013) and Full Professor (2013 at Present). He carried out serval stages in Florida University, USA (1990 & 1992), Nottingham (UK (1993-1994), Sheffield, UK (1996) and got a sabbatical year in Utrecht (2010-2011). From 2004 to 2010 has been elected as Dean of the Biology Faculty. His expertise in research and teaching is Plant Physiology, Plant Biotechnology, and Plant Production. He had published more than 80 papers, chapters and reviews, 130 oral and poster communications and supervised more than 50 students (PhD, MsC and BsC thesis). He got 2 patents. He has been Principal Investigator in 30 national and international projects and 15 Research and Development (R&D) contracts with private and public companies and institutions. The amount mobilized as PIis higher than 1.8M€. He started to work in Kiiwifruit in 1988 (30 years ago) with his PhD studies about the Cell Wall composition on Kiwifruit. He has supervised 8 PhD students on Kiwifruit: 4 related with plant cell tissue and genetic transformation and 4 with the effect on soil management on soil, plant and fruit quality. He co-organized the last International Symposium In Kiwifruit in Porto (Portugal) in 2017. Hewasawarded with the InternationalSocietyof HorticulturalScience medal in 2017.

Zhang Yuhua

Zhang Yuhua started to enter the fruit industry in 2005. She was one of the original entrepreneurs of Sichuan Zhongxin Agricultural Co., Ltd. who served as the executive director and executive vice president. During her tenure, she formed and led the team to plan and develop the domestic kiwifruit industry to lay a solid foundation for ¡° Zhongxin Agricultural¡± becoming the most influential kiwifruit company in China. In 2011, she worked for Lenovo Joyvio Group and was the pioneer of the Kiwifruit sector. She was also the general manager of branch company in Chengdu and Henan . In 2014, she resigned and started his career as a general manager of Sichuan Sunshine Flavor Fruit Industry Co., Ltd., and led the team to successfully plan investment projects such as Pujiang Origin Fruit Modern Logistics Center and Orange Sea Sunshine Technology Demonstration Park, and was responsible for construction implementation and operation management. The completion and commissioning of the first phase of the project's 7,000 tons modified atmosphere storage and professional matching sorting equipment has not only opened up the domestic fruit industry standardization and branded production supply chain demonstration model, which has become a typical case of the industry, but also brought an important significance and far-reaching influence to the local industry and domestic and foreign industries. Currently, she holds several positions such as the president of Chengdu Younong Association, the president of Pujiang Ugly Orange Industry Association, the shareholder of Nongte Group, the president of Nongte National County Project, and the chairman of Chengdu Tiancyifang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. and so on. Robert (Bob) Guthrie

Since 1994 Dr. Bob Guthrie has served as the Volunteer Curator and Research Scientist for the Actinidia collection at the University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Center (HRC) in Victoria, Minnesota, USA and greatly enlarged its accessions. He also functions as an extension service liaison at field days, fruit-grower meetings, and farm visits to provide technical assistance to existing and prospective kiwiberry growers in Minnesota and Wisconsin regarding site selection, orchard planning and subsequent vine culture and production. His Actinidia research interests include the: Improvement of kiwiberry varieties; Use of controlled freeze tests, SEM, XRD and microscopy to screen potential parents for systematic crosses; Manipulation of kiwiberry ploidy levels in the orchard; Development of vigor-controlling rootstocks; and Chronicle kiwiberry history in North America. He is a member of the International Society for Horticultural Science. Dr. Guthrie has a B.S. in Agriculture from Purdue University, B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Geology respectively from Winona State University, University of Texas at El Paso, and University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is also a licensed professional geologist. He is employed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and is responsible for permitting and sustainable groundwater use across a 43,000 km2 area in northwest Minnesota. He interacts regularly with farmers who seek to use groundwater for supplemental crop irrigation.

Ivan Kinsella

Ivan Kinsella joined Zespri in 2018 as the head of the Corporate Affairs function based in Shanghai. He is responsible for government relations, public relations and administration in the greater China region. Prior to joining Zespri, Ivan had 30 years¡¯experience dealing with Asia in corporate, advisory and government roles. Ivan started his career in a New Zealand agricultural consultancy which was setting up demonstration farms in China. He later joined the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs then the Australian Government in policy and trade promotion roles working on economic and political relations with greater China. During this time he worked in Beijing and Taipei. Ivan has also held market research and consumer insight roles as head of American Express ¡¯ s Asia-Pacific market research team based in Hong Kong and the International group in London. He has also worked for Ernst & Young Management Consultants inHong Kongand inChinabusinessconsulting andmarketresearchroles inAustralia. Ivan has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, majoring in Chinese and History, a Masters in Contemporary Chinese Studies from the Nouvelle Sorbonne University in Paris, and a Masters in Science (Management) from the London Business School. Ivan also has post graduate diplomas specializing in Chinese language from the Beijing Languages Institute and in modern Chinese history from Peking University.

Zhang Qiong

Zhang Qiong, PhD, associate research fellow of Wuhan Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, secretary general of the Kiwifruit Branch of Chinese Society for Horticultural Science, is mainly studying the molecular genetics and molecular breeding, etc. of kiwifruits, including building high density genetic linkage map for kiwifruit and apple, etc., positioning the key locus of agronomic traits on fruit quality, developing kiwifruit quality and sex determination and other labels, and providing assistance to new variety breeding of kiwifruit. She once presided over 6 programs including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and key national special projects and has 7 relevant patents authorized; joined the compilation of 2 publications as associate editor; published 12 papers on authoritative SCI journals including Genome Biology, New Phytologist and DNA Research.
